Mechelen, 26 January 2021 — EVERLAM is proud to be an active member of the SUNOVATE research project whose objective is to develop smart laminated glazing that will contribute to the European goal to achieve climate neutrality in the building environment by 2050. Led by the Netherlands Organization for applied scientific research (TNO) and in collaboration with the universities of Leuven and Hasselt and other partners, the project will run for a two year period.

It combines the fundamental properties that make the reputation of EVERLAM™ PVB films and a new formulation with enhanced properties of significantly reduced “yellowness index” for better clarity and improved “haze” and optical quality.
EVERLAM™ SUPER TOUGH qualified for use in canopy applications in Europe

Laminated safety glass made with EVERLAM™ SUPER TOUGH PVB interlayer was certified according to EOTA EAD- 220025-00-0401 for cantilevered structural horizontal glazing and TR 001 for impact resistance of panels and panel assemblies. Testing carried out at the Polytechnic Institute of Milano in July 2020 showed that EVERLAM™ SUPER TOUGH laminates passed mechanical resistance to snow loads, hard and soft body impact, as well as residual load tests.
