What's in the name?
As Application Development Manager, you are responsible to get our product specified at key stake holders and keep Everlam’s film business aligned with emerging market needs:
- Become our leading expert of the Architectural Glazing market segment, its trends and its impact on the commercial portfolio and priorities of the new product development pipeline
- Translate customer and industry needs into product opportunities and working with Technology to turn new product ideas into commercial products
- Validates product attribute assumptions with specifiers, ensures product meet norms and standards
- Providing of Application Development Support to drive adoption of Everlam’s interlayer in architectural glazing applications
- Using Stage Gate principles, coordinate product launch and market activation plans
- Monitor competitive and business intelligence
- Develop and keep undated product portfolio roadmap/ Portfolio Management
Do I get what it takes?
As Application Development Manager, you have following added values:
- PhD Degree in Chemical Engineering/Material Science/Chemistry
- Minimum 5 years of experience in polymer processing and formulation. Experience with PVB, EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) or PU (polyurethane) extrusion is an asset
- Strong interest in innovation and application development
- Maintains a network towards Universities and Technical Institutes
- Team player with Leadership skills
- Professional with strong technical back ground and hands on experience in architectural or thin film photovoltaic glazing applications
- Experience in customer interfacing technical roles
- Excellent interpersonal skills and able to develop a deep network in the industry.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Very good organizational skills and strong track record of use of Stage Gate or project management
- Languages: Fluency in English is required. Other European language skills are appreciated
- Motivated and able to work both independently and in cross functional teams
- Due to the nature of the role frequent travel in Europe and occasionally USA is required
The working location will be the at our center of competence in Mechelen, Belgium. You will be reporting to the Technology and Product Director.
