    What’s the mission context?

    We are seeking a Product and innovation Chemist who is not just technically skilled but also committed to taking full ownership of their work. In this role, you will play a central part in driving the development of new products and improving existing formulations through innovation, experimentation, and a strong sense of accountability. You’ll thrive here if you take initiative, actively seek solutions, and have a passion for turning ideas into commercially viable products. The working location will be the R&D facility in the Mechelen office, Belgium. You will be reporting to the Technology Manager.

    What are the key responsibilities?

    As a process engineer in process engineering, you will be an integral part of the workforce at our site in
    Hamm-Uentrop and will report to our Manufacturing Technology Lead.
    Your tasks and challenges will include:
    • Optimising and further developing production processes for PVB films with a focus on quality,
      efficiency and sustainability
    • Analysing process data, identifying potential for improvement and implementing appropriate
      measures
    • Introducing new technologies, processes and raw materials in close cooperation with Research &Development
    • Ensuring compliance with ISO standards and internal quality guidelines
    • Managing and supporting projects in the area of process changes and investments
    • Performing error analyses and continuous improvement using lean methods and Six Sigma
    • Cross-location cooperation with production, maintenance and quality assurance

    What are the requirements?

    • Degree in process engineering, chemical engineering or comparable qualification
    • Professional experience in the chemical industry or plastics processing is an advantage
    • Knowledge of extrusion technology, process simulation and quality management is desirable
    • Knowledge and experience in project management for capacity expansions is an advantage
    • Analytical thinking, structured working style and ability to work in a team
    • Good written and spoken German and English
    • Willingness to travel
